Hope Cards is an enterprise for women in south western Uganda who have dreams of running their own business but lack the capital to start. Women are trained to hand stitch beautiful greetings cards, so that they can earn an income and save money to start a business.
Every card or multipack that you buy directly supports Ugandan women to achieve their dreams of business ownership. Some of their business dreams include; starting a piggery or poultry project, buying a sewing machine, and liquid soap making.
Lack of start-up capital or assets is one of the main barriers for female entrepreneurs in Africa, as well as lack of a supportive network and inadequate knowledge or expertise. In addition to enabling women to earn start up capital from this project, we nurture friendship amongst the Hope Card makers, and mentor, advise and guide them as they prepare to start their business of choice. Once a woman has started her business, she is empowered, as is her household. She sets a direct path towards the eradication of poverty in her family and the economic growth of her community. What next?

2. WAIT for us to email you to confirm your order and send you payment details
3. MAKE THE PAYMENT; £22 (or $24) for your multipack. This includes postage and packaging
4. RECEIVE your cards through your letterbox
